I am a mum of three and a self-confessed organise-aholic! I began my career in television where I excelled at organising and coordinating at the BBC. Over the years, I developed a wealth of systems and tools to keep me on track, many of which I continue to use now.
As a mum, like many, I have spent years running around after others. It was easy to feel my organisational skills slipping as I tried to juggle it all. Establishing a routine, being organised and being prepared for the unexpected allowed me to enjoy my children without feeling stressed. Unsurprisingly, many of my friends would laugh at me when I would turn up to a playdate with everything but the kitchen sink. However, they weren’t laughing when they needed a plaster, a change of clothes or a snack. I was always there at the rescue!
After a career break, I was keen to combine my organisational skills, my love for property development, my creative nature and my passion for being organised to create a Professional Decluttering and Organising service that will bring peace and calm to your home. My interest in the psychology of our habits and living more mindfully has allowed me to make positive changes in my own life. Undoubtedly, we will all have periods of overwhelm in our lives, the important thing is how we manage them.
At Orka Living the client is at the heart of my work. I am passionate about finding the right solutions for each individual. The ultimate goal is for my clients to achieve the calmer life they’ve been looking for. Most importantly it is essential that the newly transformed space functions on a practical level. The new systems must be easy to maintain so the client can continue living a more simplified life long after our sessions. Seeing your success and what it can bring to how you live your life fills me with genuine joy!
