During lockdown I spoke to Julia about wanting to organise my house. I told her I had too much "stuff" and didn't know where I wanted to put it all. I also have rooms in house that were/are being refitted so everything was just so unorganised. As it was lockdown, Julia asked if I would send her photos of the rooms and try to explain them. Julia then came back to me with several ideas as to what I could do to start off. I was really pleased with her suggestions and that she was still willing to work with me even though she could not come into my house. When it was allowed Julia came to me and we walked through the house Julia offering suggestions as we done this. Julia has been to my house and started in kitchen cupboards, I left her to get on with it and wow I just thought why had I not thought to do some of the things she had done. My organisation for my house is an on going project and Julia has been there for me all the time and she still is helping me. She spent lots of time getting to know me and understanding what I was looking for. Julia made Pinterest boards with everything we had spoke about and sent links to items we spoke about. In December '23, I moved from a 3 bedroom, 3 public room detached house to a 2 bedroom flat. On the recommendation of a friend, I employed Julia to help me downsize. I didn't know where to start. She advised me on what to keep and what to dispose of. She took many car loads away on each visit to sell or give to charity shops. I would strongly recommend employing Julia if you are moving or downsizing.

Because I suffer from back pain, Julia ensured that everything was easily accessible for me. We then moved to the linen cupboard using the same criteria. I had put off clearing out my kitchen cupboards for the best part of ten years. Then Julia came along. First, she encouraged me to make a start. Then she and I went through the cupboards item by item. She gave me three choices: keep it, take it to the tip/recycle or send it to the charity shop. To help me decide, she taught me the twenty/twenty rule. If you can replace it in less than twenty minutes for less than twenty pounds, you don’t need to keep it. Ten years of procrastination was wiped out in less than two hours. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the space in my cupboards!

Julia's considerable skills with technology have made my life so much easier. My phone and tablet had become a bit like my house at times - namely disorganized, bursting at the seams and causing me considerable anxiety!
